First and foremost: all of our staff... we're all guitar enthusiasts. We offer a wide range of instruments to accomodate any level of your musical craft or interest.

Fine Fretted Friends offers:

• Fine guitars and related products. You're welcome to play our guitars. Try out the instruments as you would for a performance. Spend the time you need to evaluate an instrument. Electric guitar? Plug it in! Acoustic-Electric? Plug that in too! We stock amps that you can use for on-the-spot evaluation.

• Generous Trade-Ins. We take trades! Frequently, as musicians become more skilled, their needs in instruments change. We recognize and applaud this... and we'll take your old instrument in trade towards new or used equipment. We take care of our fretted friends! (We also buy instruments).
  
  
• Appraisals. Based on our 30+ years of experience with guitars, we offer fair and accurate appraisals of vintage and antique instruments, as well as those of more recent production.
  
  
• Consignments. We'll sell your fine guitar on consignment. Contact us for details.
  
  
• Repairs. We're connected to the finest luthiers in the business. No repair job is too large or too small. We can even arrange for custom inlay work on your current guitar.
  
  
• Lessons. Learn to play the guitar at your own pace. Learn the style of music that you want to play. We offer instruction to accommodate any level of musician.
  

More than a Music Store
Fact is, we're a part of the Livermore music community. In addition to the things you'd expect from a well-stocked music store, we offer the following:

• Benefit Concerts. We produce and coordinate the acclaimed Livermore Rotary Music Scholarship Benefit Concerts. Drawing on our connections in the entertainment industry, we've brought some of the world's most acclaimed musicians to Livermore to participate in our benefit concert series.
  
  
• Entertainment Services. Have a special event that needs live music? House concerts, weddings, corporate functions... we can arrange all the details - from scheduling a musician or band approprite for the occasion, booking a venue, arranging a PA or sound-reinforcement system - everything. All you have to do is pick the date and enjoy!
  
  
• Band Instrument Rental. Every year, we coordinate band instrument rental for the local school districts. Brass, woodwind, the works. If your kid needs it for school, we'll get the necessary instrument at an affordable price.
  
  
• Custom Instruments. We have connections with the finest custom luthiers on the West Coast. We'll work with you in the creation of a guitar that's just right for you, and your own particular playing style. Choose the woods, finish and custom inlay work to create your own dream guitar!
