| Guitar Refinishing. Is the finish on your guitar worn, or show "checking" and fine cracks in the finish that comes with age? We can restore the finish on that old guitar to make it look new. We can even change the tint or color, or add a "sunburst" finish. We carefully match the chemistry of the original finish and use similar modern materials, such as nitrocellulose lacquer. | |
| Guitar Restoration. Have a family "heirloom" with sentimental value... that's been reduced to little more than a pile of twigs? In nearly every case, we can restore that instrument to its former glory. Minor and major crack repair, bridge repair or replacement, broken headstocks, neck reset... no job is too large or too small. | |
| Guitar Re-Fret. Age and wear can mean its time for new frets. We can level and dress the frets, replace damaged frets - even a complete fret job. Replacement frets can be to the size, width and contour of your choice. | |
| New Nuts, Saddles, and Setup. Proper setup, including the nut and the saddle, can make all the difference for a fine guitar. We can custom contour the saddle for correct intonation on your guitar. Bone, synthetic, or exotic materials available. | |
| Pickup Installation. Installing a pickup in an acoustic guitar can be tricky business. We've installed hundreds, and have the special tools and techniques to make the finished installation nearly invisible. | |
| Guitar Electronics. For electric guitars, we can restore or replace the pots, caps, switches and circuitry that shape the tone. Custom and unusual switch arrangements are available. We can install that coil-tap humbucker, teamed with a push-pull volume control to make the installation invisible. | |
| Amplifier Service and Repair. We can re-tube and correctly bias your vintage guitar amp to dramatically improve the tone. Speaker replacement, repair and re-coning available. We work on both tube and solid-state amps. | |
