Sales Policy: Used Instruments
No-hassle Return Policy:
Fine Fretted Friends offers an unconditional 72 hour approval period on used instruments. If you find an instrument does not meet your expectations, contact us within 72 hours of your receipt of the instrument, and arrange for its return and refund of the full purchase price.

Upon us receiving the instrument in it's original conditon we will immediately refund your money.

Shipping charges are not refundable.

The Fine Print:
If you decide to return the instrument, we expect you to ship it back to us in perfect condition, in the box in which it was sent to you.

Include all of the paperwork (or copies of the paperwork) packed with the instrument, as well as all manuals and other material that were shipped to you. Please understand that this is an approval period. You cannot use the instrument for a gig, or take it from your home or place of delivery.

Used Instrument Warranty
All used instruments from Fine Fretted Friends (except Consignment and "As-Is" instruments) are guaranteed to remain free from defects in materials and workmanship for 30 days from the date of purchase. We will repair any instrument found to be defective within this 30 day period.

Our used instruments are equipped with new strings, and adjusted to play their very best before we offer them for sale.

Exceptions include Consignment instruments and those in "As-Is" condition (see the panel to the right). Also, we cannot guarantee strings, finish damage that was not evident at the time of shipment, and damage resulting from improper use, accident, or outright abuse.

Fine Fretted Friends always packs instruments adequately, and fully insured for replacement value prior to shipment. Any damage to the instrument that occurs during transit becomes the responsibility of the carrier (usually UPS).

Consignment Instruments
On occasion, we offer instruments sold "on consignment." In this case, the instrument is actually owned by a private party, but we arrange the sale on a commission basis. Therefore, our standard Used Instrument Warranty does not apply to consignment sales; they are sold in "As-Is" condition.

As-Is Instruments
On rare occasion, we offer instruments with problems that are clearly defined prior to sale. Guitars with a profound crack or a broken headstock would be examples of instruments sold on an "As-Is" basis. If you're handy with woodworking, have an uncle who repairs guitars, or simply don't mind the flaw, these can be a real bargain. Obviously, As-Is instruments

are sold without any kind of warranty.

Shipping Charges
To be fair to all of our customers, we must charge you for shipping on all orders. Our usual method of shipment is UPS ground service in the continental USA. Other shipping options usually cost more, so phone or email for a price quote if you need something other than regular UPS ground shipping.

Special Shipping Arrangements
Next day, 2nd day or other air shipments can be arranged; phone us first during regular businesss hours to verify actual shipping charges. Phone 925-606-1324 during our business hours (11-7 Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Pacific USA timezone).
Method of Payment
Fine Fretted Friends accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Personal checks are accepted, though merchandise will not be shipped until funds have cleared our bank. Other methods of payment (such as wire transfers) can be arranged. Contact us for details.

The instruments we sell are not dishwasher-safe.
